There are very few car service facilities that specialize in speedometer repair. I was fortunate to find one in Lancaster, Pa. The Shop is very clean and its staff is very competent. They determined the cause of my speedometer problem, told me what the repair would cost and completed the job the same day.

I took my old car there for a speedometer and odometer fix. They called me back and said it would cost two times their original estimate. I told them to do it. What else could I do? They are the only speedometer place here. I got a ride after hours when it was "done" and the car made such loud noises and had a grinding feel when turning. I was afraid to drive it home but my ride had left. My mechanic said they opened it - they did it. So when I called them to complain, they said " Well, If we caused something...." I took it back and told them what my mechanic said and told them if they say they didn't do it to just pack the car back up because I was not giving them another red cent. I also asked why they would even call me to get it with that noise. "Well, I assure you ma'am we didn't hear it." Well, Helen Keller could have heard it and I told them so. They called me back and said, oops, they missed something and also fixed the light problem I had mentioned, saying they fixed it even though they didn't cause it. Just who opened the dash up? I have since heard from several women that they ripped them off, too. Have a male mechanic take the car to them. Women, don't trust them.

Powl's Speedometer & Auto Care has been open since 1928, and still servicing Pennsylvania Area, and surrounding boroughs for many years. I have been coming here since I was a little girl, and now I work for this company. We provide the best customer service possible, and try to be honest with all of our customers with Prices you can't beat. Speedometer Business is very hard to find, and not everyone know what they are doing, but Powl's has yet to fail me. I highly recommended going to Powl's for all auto care work, I promise you, you won't regret it.
