I can't believe that there aren't more reviews of Kevin Hunter Automotive. My family (including myself) has been taking their cars to Kevin's since he first opened his shop more than 20 years ago. He is fantastic, and he hires fantastic people. They do the work quickly, they do it very well, and they do it at much better prices than any other shop in the area. Unfortunately, I left the Irwin area quite some time ago. But my family still goes there and, if I still lived there, I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Overrated large shop with a couple good and more than a few not-so-good mechanics. Work overall is average. Biggest positive is being open evenings and weekends. When car is dropped off though, lack of reality-based scheduling leads to excessive wait times. After waiting for cars for weeks, the sometimes crappy work you get here translates to a lot of time wasted waiting on rework.

When it comes to auto repairs, trust and reasonable prices are the most important criteria for me. I got ripped off at other places a few times, particularly at Audi and Toyota dealerships where they "repaired" one major and expensive problem and the problem didnt get fixed, then they claimed I had a second problem and charged me again. Not here at Kevin Hunters!!! This is an absolutely trusthworthy and honest business. Kevin has worked on all my vehicles over the past 15 years, including an Audi A6 Quattro, Audi A4 Quattro, Toyota Matrix, GM and Chevrolet vans, Ford F350 Diesel, Ford RV and others.I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Kevin is one of the most honest & fair mechanics I have ever come across. I am from Michigan originally & just moved to western PA about 7 years ago. Kevin came recommended to me from a work associate and I've went to Kevin ever since for all my repairs & state inspection needs. Honestly every time his staff works on my cars, I wanted to write a review about how impressed I am with this company. I made myself sit down and write a well-deserved review tonight because once again, he went above & beyond a normal expected service last week. I recently bought a BMW and was concerned that Kevin wouldnt be able to work on my car any more but quickly learned that he can work on my Beemer too (which saves me a ton of money from having to go to the BMW dealership. If you can read this Kevin, thank you for all you do man. Me and my family appreciate it. Geoff Brooks
