The business is run by Chris and his wife Helen. They go out of their way for their customers and are completely honest and up front. Chris is the primary mechanic. He has one employee who also is great. Helen runs the office and often goes for parts and provides transportation to those customers that need it. I'm not totally in the dark when it comes to cars, as I used to manage a fleet of about 60 autos for a trucking company. My knowledge though is theoretical as opposed to hands on. All I can say is that I have always been completely satisfied with evrything they have ever done on any of my vehicles. And I can honestly say I abolutely trust them.(This is not a paid for annoucement. They don't even know that I am recommending them)

While Chris's shop is not adjacent to public transportation, they have consistently offered rides to and from work when working on our cars at no charge. Chris and his wife treat all customers as friends, are warm and open, and a pleasure to work with. When we had our Volvo in the dealer for a brake repair, the dealer charged over $300 and failed to fix the problem. Chris charged $150, and fixed the problem on the first try. After this event, we decided that we would univerally allow Chris to work on our cars, without fail. Chris has, on occasion, told us that the car did not require service, and that we would do better to have a problem fixed by another shop (for muffler service, when a muffler shop had previously worked on the car). We can, and have, recommended Chris to others without

Chris and all the guys down there have a great attidtude and they make you feel comfortable with what theyre doing to your car. Mike and one other guy(sorry man your cool) helped me out with installing an exhaust on my car. They installed hangers and double checked it to make sure I didn't screw up. For only a very small labor fee(I think like 60 bucks for 2 hours or so??) Definitley reccomend them seeing as they have never screwed me once and they're very knowledgable and down to earth.

I first talked to Chris and his wife when answered the phone at 10:30 pm and gave the diagnosis to a recurrent electric motor sound (an aerial motor that wouldn't shut off). Later, my car (1989 Caprice, 90,000 miles) had hesitated and stuttered in damp weather for two years. Three other garages had suggested transmission problems or had no idea. Chris almost immediately demonstrated it was due to arcing among my worn, never replaced wires leading to the spark plugs (or whatever) from the distributor (or whatever-I'm no mechanic). He turned off the lights and scattered water on it, causing a display of sparks. Since he replaced the wires, I have had no problems. They are honest, drive other customers and myself to our homes and pick us up. A real find. Easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and happy to explain anything in great detail.
