Good price for the work and followed their quoted price to the penny. However, service was somewhat rude. A "come over and we'll look at it now" turned into "if you want a deal, you gotta wait." Refused to accept their own yellow-pages coupon, as it was "included in the price I quoted" and "you wouldn't be here if this wasn't a bargain" Regardless, they did the job they said they would. Even though it would have been easy for them to slip in unnecessary work, they didn't. A good place despite the annoyances.

I'm sorta obsessed with my car. I do my own oil changes, grease up what needs to be greased, so I spend alot of time under my car. I know how alot about them, but I follow guides online on how to do these things. I don't know what everything is called under there or what it does, but I know how things are supposed to look. I've been to nearly every mechanic in my area and I always found issues when I checked out my car. Missing bolts, you name it. Not stuff that is going to kill your car by any means, but still... carelessness on a 3,000 pound projectile is very dangerous and should be taken seriously. For example... The place that installed my lift kit didn't re-attach my rear sway bar (again, I didn't know what it was, but I knew it had to be attached to something!). I later found out that they lost 2 of my bolts for my OEM skid plate, so it was held in place with only half of the hardware that it should have been. The place that installed my headers not only left me with an exhaust leak after their install, but they left a T-shirt on my engine cover which could have easily gotten tied up in the belt/fan in there while driving. So I initially brought my car to Competition Exhaust & Automotive for the fixing of the exhaust leak. I didn't trust the original installers with my car due to the carelesness of leaving loose items under my hood where it could have caused massive damage or an accident. The guys at Competition actually had to create a custom gasket for my headers by hand, fixed some other issues with the exhaust under the car, and I was good to go. And upon inspection when I got home... no random bolts or T-shirts laying around in my engine bay! It was this first experience that I was told that while the sign says "COMPETITION EXHAUST," they also do your basic mechanic stuff too. So it looks like I found my new place. Also... if you're a FJ Cruiser owner in need of a Body Mount Chop in the Philly area, they do that too.
