They treated me like I was their daughter. I made an appointment the day before for early in the morning (8:00 is early for me). I end up locking my keys in the car in their parking lot. I felt like it was my first month of driving. While I have a spare set at home, I have no way to get them to me. My plan was to hoof it home (I live relatively close). Jim was sitting at the computer and didn't even hesitate to give me a ride back to my house to pick up the keys. When they discovered the problem, I was worried about time constraints. I had an appointment at 3:00 and was worried I wouldn't have my car to get there. They assured me everything would be done on time, and it was. Jim, Art, and Hans were all very nice and understanding.

It had been a few years since I had owned a vehicle. My former mechanic had retired. I was scared. I had a "just moved mailer" from Hawthorne Auto Clinic. The mailer touted eco-friendly, female mechanic, great service, etc. It sounded right up my alley and too good to be true. Even though the Clinic is a little far from my house, I have never looked back. I Love this place! In my experience, mechanic shops cause much trepidation\GI upset\permanent neurosis\etc. HAC has given me unparalleled service, performs excellent work, and I really appreciate their commitment to the environment. They use eco friendly oil, have solar panels, they even promote cycling -not intuitive for the industry, but more power to them! Some of the comments others have left mention that HAC is a bit spendy. I would never set foot in another shop, so I'm not sure how it compares, but it has always seemed an incredible value to me!

Since I found HA in the Mechanics Files in 2002, I've gone only to HA. They take time to explain the problem and their repair to me and I've never felt like I was getting the fast shuffle from them. A recent repair involved an exhaust manifold they replace three years ago. Although the warranty was expired, they talked the supplier into standing behind their warranty. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had gone to the dealer for service but much prefer going to Hawthorne Auto.
