These guys are extremely reliable. They will not fix a problem, unless they have a chance to look over the car thoroughly. If you don't tell them the past repair work, they will tell you just through diagnosis. They are very honest, and have some of the lowest labor costs in the city. They only work on Water-cooled VW's, but they will be happy to recommend other shops for air-cooled.

Double J Motorwerks always goes out of their way to give excellent service. They believe in treating every car as though it is their own. They make an effort to pay attention to detail and even fix things that weren't in the estimate. Being a woman they are treat me with respect and make me feel comfortable. They will explain the problem to me in a way that I understand. These guys are highly recommended.

The guys are Double J are the most knowledgeable and personable and hard-working mechanics I've ever met. They only work on VWs and clearly love their work. They've been extraordinarily patient about explaining the details of every service they've ever provided to my vehicles. Highly recommended

They took us in quickly when our fuel pump died while visiting Portland. The guy at Sears Automotive actually referred us to them; especially since we had a VW. They were friendly and took care of the work in a reasonable time. We got a ride to some shops as well, to pass the time! The 2nd/3rd time we used them, we asked them to replace parts that were diagnosed by another shop. We made time in another visit to Portland to make sure this shop could work on our car. Not only did they beat their prices by huge amounts, but when the realized the problem was misdiagnosed and related to another issue, they wouldn't even charge us for the work and parts. What a shop! Carrie at the front desk is smart as a whip and takes care of you. Great shop, I only wish they were in Seattle, where I actually live.

They took my TDI in, when a gas station attendant inadvertently filled it with gasoline instead of diesel. Fixed it quickly and I have now found a new garage!
