My Escort Zetec engine threw its water pump pulley in Grant's Pass, Oregon; the Autozone I limped into recommended Ron as a highly competent, straight shooter. And they were right. Ron trailered my car to his shop, which is at his house in the Grant's Pass "suburbs" (I would not have been surprised to see elk sign on the lawn) where he spent the time and effort necessary to get me back on the road at very reasonable cost, and with assurance that the work had been done right. Plus, they checked coolant (he found a leaky thermostat housing gasket with black light) and oil, replaced a couple of fasteners that were missing from the splash shield, and generally made me feel really good for having met him. Moreover, I watched him bargain for, and go out of his way to get the best possible deals and repairs for several customers, then provide excellent counseling to them about what was wrong and what should be done. He's the real thing folks, it was a great pleasure seeing such an ethic at work.
