The Auto Clinic is owned by Barry Parrish. Barry is the most honest auto mechanic I've ever known. If Barry tells you work is needed (or not needed), you can bank on what he is saying. One example: my son had problems with a Nissan Pathfinder. An Oklahoma City Pep Boy's shop diagnosed the problem as involving the manifold and estimated repairs that would cost about $795. I suggested to my son that he get a second opinion from Barry. Barry thought the problem might be a less expensive repair. But after looking at the vehicle, he agreed with the Pep Boy's diagnosis and estimated the cost of repairs as around $700. Barry did one thing that sets him apart from other mechanics I've ever dealt with. He thought there could be a warranty recall on the vehicle. So he checked Nissan records and found that Nissan would do the work under warranty. Barry told my son to take the vehicle to the Nissan dealership where the work was done. Barry could have done the more expensive repair work AND never have told my son. None of us would have been the wiser. But this illustrates Barry's basic honesty. His honesty cost him the income from a correct and rightful repair job. It did, however, save my son the cost of the work. To me, that is the perfect example of Barry Parrish's honesty. And why I trust my automobile work with the Auto Clinic of Edmond.

Barry has been working on a variety of cars for me for at least ten years. My brother-in-law referred me to him after having an excellent experience with him. Barry fixes things right and at a fair price. A couple of years ago I had an Infiniti Q-45 that had an over-heating problem that the dealership couldn't fix. Not only could they not fix it, they kept the car for three weeks and gave it back with an apology that they just didn't know what was wrong. I went by to see Barry and he told me the next time it overheated to bring it in immediately. A couple of months later, on Labor Day, it was overheating, so I went by the garage and he was working. In five minutes Barry diagnosed what the dealership never could figure out. Barry is top- notch in every respect. For me, he has worked on a Dodge Intrepid, Saturn SL, Pontiac Bonneville, Ford Explorer, and a Q-45.

I've finally found a repair shop in Edmond that I trust to correctly diagnose the problem and fix only what is broken. I've had two great experiences with Barry.

This is a small unassuming shop run by a mechanic who really knows his business and inspires confidence. I have run into too many of the other kind lately and it is great to find a mechanic whom I trust completely and who works on the variety of cars we have. If you are going to a dealership for service, you should give Barry a try.
