During about seven years of servicing the vehicle, a 1993 900S, only twice has anything occurred I would consider less than fine. A cause for continous oil loss was never determined, with a suggestion made it may be a cracked head. I refused to accept this diagnosis and about 40K later it is still running strong. A coolant leak was not found, even though the coolant was obviously going somewhere, until the constant overheating had burned out the auxiliary fan. It was a leaking coolant resevoir and it had been pointed out that moisture had been found on the side of the tank. The fan had to be ordered from out of town and it was a costly repair which could have been avoided.

While performing another service on my saab, they noticed some dust around the alternator. They recommended I go to the dealer since it was still under warranty. The dealer confirmed a worn bearing and replaced the alternator, all coverred under warranty. I could barely see the dust, but I'm sure most shops would have missed it and sent me on my way to end up stranded with a dead battery in who-knows-where. Very friendly folks.

We've had both our cars in to be worked on at The Saab Shop, and we're ecstatic to have found a "home" for our mechanical needs. All of the staff there are super helpful, and have gone above and beyond on a couple of occasions for us. In the list of "What we did" there were quite a few "and we threw this in, and just went ahead and did that" without charging us. We will, as long as possible, always bring our cars to The Saab Shop.
