Mike has diagnosed problems for me, advising me on which items I should be able to repair myself (backyard mechanic) and which ones are messy enough to warrant more expertise. He inspected a used car my wife and I were interested in purchasing and gave us a written report which we were able to use in our bargaining with the dealer. The information was good, the dealer accepted it, and we were able to reduce the price and prioritize the repairs the car would need to make it ship shape. This peace of mind was more than worth the $70 we paid for the inspection.

Mike at Motorkars has kept my wife's Audi going great. But I can usually count on repairs costing either $0 (sometimes), or $300 (most of the time), or $600 (more than I would like). I guess German cars have their downside.

Motorkars did a very nice job fixing my late-model passat. They had about a 1 week lead time for getting an appointment. I dropped my car off the night before, and I got a call the next day around 10:00am with an estimate. The work was done by 3:00 that afternoon. Mike (the owner?) was friendly and explained to me what was wrong, and what work they did. It was pretty much what i had expected. The work appears to have been done correctly, and they charged a reasonable price. No BS, and no screw-ups. For an auto-repair place, that's saying a lot.

I've been a Motorkars customer since 1989. I totally trust them - in fact they are the reason my husband and I are planning to trade in the Honda and buy another VW to go with our Beetle. We don't want to own any car that we'd have to have serviced by anyone else! Mike is always willing to explain things and lets you know about any alternatives that are available. Everyone there is friendly, courteous and helpful. If they would clone themselves and open 10 more small shops to service 10 other makes of cars, the world would be a better place.

Motorkars is simply a really great shop! Very cool people (the girl that works the front desk and I had an in-depth conversations about how Pirellis would perform on my Saab vs how they would on my Passat) If you own a VW/Audi/Porsche and you live in Central Ohio - these are your guys!
