I brought my car to a CITGO mechanic about a mile up the street from KIRKS. The Mechanic at CITGO forgot to attach my fan assembly back to the engine mount after he replaced my water pump. My fan came undone on the Jersey Turnpike and nearly destroyed my car. Broken Belts, AC, Radiator, etc. Brought the car back to CITGO and they "repaired" the damage. The car still wasn't working. I then brought my car to Kirks, and they were able to fix my car perfectly, cheaply, and quickly. I have found my new mechanic. The guys at Kirks are totally reliable, honest and COMPETENT. I highly recomend KIRK's

I will not take my car to the dealer repair shops on Staten Island. The Saturn dealer repair screwed me over royally, and I started going to Kirk's. They knew more about my Saturns (I had two of them) than the dealer shop did. I swore never again to buy a Saturn. My next car was a new Subaru Outback, and Kirk's has been maintaining it since Day One. Ditto with my new Toyota Prius. Kirk's prices are very reaonable, their mechanics are top- notch and friendly, and their service rep (Frank) is great. I've never been happier with a repair shop. I've been a customer for over ten years through four different vehicles.

The work was done promptly and completely. They did what was needed and didn't try to "Upsell" me.

They can't do a simple oil change right, so I would be hesitant to use them for anything more in depth. Hey, everyone makes mistakes, so just own up to them and don't waste my time with a million excuses as to why there is about 4-5 quarts too much oil in my crankcase!

Decent, honest and in the only major problem I had with my car until 115,000, sent me back to the dealer even though I was out of warranty because the Honda had put out a bulletin about water pump problems and covered it. Never tries to "upsell me" but knows what I need (like special fluid in my rear differential on CRVs).
