Needed an inspection ASAP. They were able to take me same-day, did it while I waited, were thorough, but did not find any 'extra' problems. Recommended.

Ludlow garage is a family run business, they're honest and straightforward and do excellent work. i've been going there for 7 years and recommending them to all my friends, who are equally happy with them.

Went here for the first time today, based on a friend's recommendation. I found Jerome to be frank and patient in explaining what had to be done. I needed the work to be done today and the job was done by 4 PM. I had front brakes changed, a camshaft angle sensor replaced, and the wiring in my hatchback redone. Labor price seemed typical for NYC and the parts were cheaper than I expected. I'm actually looking forward to going back to get some more work done in a few weeks. Hassle Free.

These guys are the worst case scenario of garage experiences. We had a problem with our jeep where it overheated on a long drive after idling. We called and were told to bring it in before 8:00 AM the next day. When we did that, they man in charge of coordinating the chaos of cars that they service told us to go away and make an appointment for the next day, they would not help. We brought the car back first thing the next day. It was Friday. They told us to write the problem down on paper and that we could not speak to anyone to tell them what was wrong with the car. They said, maybe they would get to it by 6:30 that day, but they did not and when we called they said to check back Saturday. Saturday, no more work, no more answers. When we chased them down for answers on Monday they told us they had checked everything smaller so it had to be a cracked head gasket and they did not know what that would cost or how long it would take. Maybe $ 1700 to $3500 they estimated. They said they would have more information for us the next day (Tuesday). We waited all day to hear from them and then went in person and were told it was 100% a cracked head gasket and maybe they could give us prices and numbers by the following day. The jeep has been regularly serviced and runs well and only has 92,000 miles on it. They said we might need to consider a new engine block because it might be cheaper to fix than a blown head gasket. We walked around the corner to absorb the news and get our heads around it and saw the jeep parked on the street. We went to check on it and discovered they left the doors unlocked parked on NY streets! Someone had gotten into the car and gone through the glove compartment and taken anything they could of value. We decided people that could not lock our doors were not the people to fix a major problem IF that was even the case. We asked them to give us the keys so we could take care of the car ourselves, but even that was not easy. They had swapped out our radiator and left an old radiator in our car on the street several blocks away with our radiator left somewhere on the floor of the garage. After 4 days and 2 more hours, we finally got our car back. We called the JEEP dealership and took it for repair there. We were seen immediately. They diagnosed the problem to be as simple as a bad radiator CAP! To be sure they ran the car and checked a few other things and agreed the car was in decent shape. It cost us $ 179 parts and diagnostic labor and we were out in under an hour and a half. These guys wasted days of our time, treated us horribly, and lied about a very expensive repair that the car did not need.
