We took our car in to this Harlem shop because our 'check engine' light was on. They called us within a couple of ours to let us know the problem was caused by a faulty seal on our gas cap, which they offered to order for us. Total cost was something like $30. (They also told us we'd need a tune-up 'soon,' (which was true), but left it at that without any sales-pressure pitches.

Just went for an oil change, but I was impressed that the manager explained to me why the cost had gone up (even though it was still a reasonable price for Manhattan). They worked quickly and answered all of my questions without any attitude. Very friendly folks.

These guys keep my 10year / 150K miles Subaru on the road. They can get parts quickly when needed and almost always do the work same day. They have never recommended or done a repair the car did not need. Oil change while you wait.

I went in for an inspection and was out in about 30 minutes. No reservation, just pleasant service, and the price was exactly what they quoted me, no surprises. Aside from the shop guy giving me the fish eye, and a rather lewd poem on the wall - this was a great experience.
