I maintained my new 2001 Rav 4 at the dealers for 3 years because, as a woman, I was sure any other shop would rip me off. However, after finally having enough of the inconvience and expense of maintaining my car at the dealer, I found a recommendation for Straub Auto Repairs online. Both my fiance and I used them several times over the last year, and found them to be competent, customer oriented, and most importantly HONEST. I highly recommend them. The only downside is that they aren't open on Saturdays, but this wasn't an issue for us - -though it may be for other people.

#1 reason to take your car to Straub's is the peace of mind of knowing you are dealing with honest people. They do a great job of accomodating the customer (driving fixed cars back to you if you can't get a laoner for example). Only doenside is they are not open on weekends but they will work into the late hours at night to try to help you out if they can. Highly recommended.

I have taken three cars to this "Sons and Pop" operation for more than 15 years. I never hesitate to recommend them My most recent out of the ordinary experience is typical of how they operate. I brought in my "new" used car in mid-August because the AC unit quit working. Thet diagnosed the problem while I waited and had me wait while they attempted to find the part. They wanted to be sure that they could fix the problem that day if I left the car. When they could not readily locate the part, they asked me how long I had owned the car. I told them, and they informed me that the car was still under warrenty and Mercury would fix the problem for nothing. The newness of the car explained the lack of availability of the part. They are the people that you want to have looking after your repair and maintenance needs

Al and Harry at Straub take care of everything thoroughly and promptly. We lived 2 blocks away for 3 years, and recently moved a half-hour north, but will always take our cars to them for service!

I have found these fellows more than fair. I've got an older car, with lots of miles on it... it has needed a bit of TLC through the years. I've gone to several different mechanics with this car. These guys are my favorite. I have been surprised by their low prices, and very pleased with how they never try to push any extra fixes on me. My only complaint with them is that they never seem to call when the repairs are done, it's always on me to call and check in. I prefer to be called by the mechanic when the job is finished. However, this is something I have learned to live with -- they are my favorite mechanics now. Everyone I have recommended them to are quick to tell me how they were also impressed with their prices and quality of service.

A friend gave us an 88 Jeep which had been sitting in his driveway a few years. We live about 80 miles away and wanted to get it road worthy so we could bring it home to work on it. Straub's understood what we wanted and what we didn't want, explained what they were doing clearly, and completeted the job quickly at a reasonable cost. Our ride home was successful.

Have long wanted to add my 2-cents worth of accolades for Straub. Great guys, helpful, and they do excellent work.
