How many repair shops call you a week or two later to ask if all the work was satisfactory, and if the problem(s) was/were fixed??? Jon is the owner, but performs a lot of the service. Mick runs the office - extremely knowledgeable of automotive problems. All of the mechanics (Kirk, Ollie, Tom) are excellent! I have been dealing with them for a number of years: 1984 Chrysler T&C Wagon (Still running: believe it or not) 1989 Chrysler New Yorker (55K Mi.) 1993 BMW 325I Convertible (20K Mi.) Both of my sons take their vehicles there for service - you always get an honest assessment& fix. They aren't cheap; but they're good!

I've been going to Precision Automotive for about 3 years now, with a 1990 Dodge Spirit and a 2000 Grand AM. Its always a pleasure taking my business there. They are very courteous and knowledgeable. The cost of service may be not be on the cheap side, but its well worth it to have the job done right. They even offered to drive me to work (30 miles away) and pick me up afterwards when I was having my brakes and rotors replaced! In the past I have been to several other repair shops in my life and never really felt I could trust that the mechanics were being completely honest, or that they had done a good job. But at Precision Automotive, I always feel I can trust them. I highly recommend them.

I've brought maybe three different vehicles to this establishment. They're under a new forman, and some of the hands have changed, but they're the same top notch team that have kept my vehicles running for quite a while. John and Tom are the remaining veterans, along with some new and very well educated mechanics on line. They still deliver the same honesty and reliability you would expect them to do the job right the first time.

Jon and his crew saved us a lot of $ when they repaired our 1994 Subaru's suspension system. Dealer said it would cost "a few thousand dollars" and couldn't say how long it would take as the parts had to be ordered from Japan. Precision had to order the parts thru the same dealer but was able to put us back on the road in a week with a bill less than half of the dealer's estimate. The repair worked just fine! Also, they put a new timing belt in my 1990 Honda Prelude, have fixed by daughter's old Windstar in excellent manner. If you are anywhere near Endicott with a car repair problem I would highly recommend Precision Automotive on West Main Street.

I have been taking my aging Volvo to Precision Auto for 3 years now and have always had fantastic service from Jon and his crew. You will pay a bit more than your average mechanic (and less than your average dealer), but the service is well worth it. They fix things right the first time and will go to great lengths to please the customer. They are always pleasant and timely and will bend over backwards to get your car taken care of. I highly recommend them and I will be a customer for life.

John and Tom are the remaining veterans of this facility. John is involved in everyones work as usual, to try to facilitate repairs in a timely manner. They have also aquired some new blood into the facility to make it run "AS SMOOTH AND PAINLESS" for the customer as possible. The new mechanics--sorry about the spelling--are very knowledgeable about vehicle operations. They are witty, honest, and have an indellable sense of humor. The newest forman, Scott, has a charming wit and knowledge of his own. Anette, who does the office appointments, payments, etc., is a very sweet natured individual--sorry, she is not one of the mechanics. If you take your car to these individuals, I guarentee you you will be treated with honesty and respect.

I highly recommend this garage to anyone if you live anywhere near the Endicott, NY area. We moved to the area in 2006 and shortly thereafter needed some work done on our 2000 Hyundai Accent L. After taking the car to the Ithaca, NY Hyundai dealer and being told that I had a leaking or blown head gasket, I decided to give Precision Automotive a try for a second opinion. They looked at my car, called me back, and told me the problem was a frozen radiator/poor engine coolant. Furthermore, they performed a cylinder leak-down test to check whether or not the head gasket was bad, and everything passed with flying colors. They saved us a lot of money by doing what a good mechanic should do: taking the time to run the appropriate diagnostic tests and finding out what the real problem is. They run a very clean and professional garage, and most importantly, are knowledgeable and honest. They also just replaced a timing belt and water pump in our Accent and everything is working very well. The prices may be higher than some other places (although no higher than a dealer), but they are certainly not out of line with what I'd expect to pay at a well-run shop with expertise you can trust. They are now the ONLY place I will take my cars.

I've been dedicated to taking my business to Precision Automotive due to their knowledge of practically all vehicles brought to them. I brought in my '94 GEO Prizm for a timing belt and water pump replacement. About a year and a half later, Tom found out the water pump was defective due to a bearing noise coming out of the engine. (Manufacturer defect--not Precision's fault). They scheduled a replacement and got it taken care of. They are worth the visit and have knowledge of automobiles that surpasses any of the other mechanics I have visited.

Jon and Scott aren't fibbing when they say "We Know Cars". They diagnosed and repaired a persistent brake problem which baffled my local Ford dealer. When I blew an exhaust valve, they didn't try to talk me into expensive repairs but outlined options to help me weigh to cost of repairs against buying another vehicle. They aren't cheap, but they are reasonable and fair, and don't recommend needless repairs. Their shop and waiting area are clean and their staff competent, courteous, and always take the time to explain and answer questions.
