My mechanic knows what is best for his customers. The service provided is excellent, the service is always done promptly. Whenever there is a problem the mechanic will consult with you the problems your car has before performing the repair. The price of the repair is very reasonable and affordable. But most of all where can you find a mechanic who is friendly, honest and kindhearted, and also easy to get along with AND with excellent skills on automobiles......... at ACCUA....

their mechanics are very good for knowledge that I never see before. only that I am not satisfied, they explain the problem to female more clear than male.

Francis is very knowledgable, and helpful. He offers great advice on repair priority and and importance, and when faced with large repairs works to give you a good deal. Always sticks with original quote, and even occasionally goes beyond the agreed repair! Be prepared to pay cash to get the best price. Note: This shop is actually called Accua Auto, not Acura Auto

Francis, the owner/manager makes this shop an absolute "find". He is respectful, patient, thorough, thoughtful & a really nice guy! The shop is not a "state of the art" looking/ squeaky clean or high tec but I have always been impressed with the care, quality & price of the work. Francis has always taken the time to carefully explain what he thought was happening with the car & what the repair options were. He came out for a drive in the car so he could listen to the sounds my car was making & to feel how it moved. Afterwards, while the car was up on the lift, Francis & the mechanic pointed out areas of concern, drips, worn parts, etc & (in language I could understand) explained what might be happening- after the work was done, he showed me the parts that were removed & what the wear/tear meant to the car's functioning. I am VERY grateful to CarTalk for providing this wonderful forum that lead me to this terrific shop!

I am driving a not too old 2002 Honda Accord. The car has a problem of engine stalling. I went to some other repair shops; they told me a lot of repairing needs (need idle control, timing belt, etc.), but I felt suspicious. My friend recommended me to go to check with Francis. Then he explained very clearly and fixed it right away (2 days). Now, my car is running very good. Usually, I don't understand other mechanics' explanations. But his explanation is more clear. Price? Yeah, a little bit higher than other shops, but I think it is worth it. The main point: my car just needed a regular oil change and maintenance now, and no more major repairs.

Nice family run business specializing in Japanese brand cars. Excellent English speaking and a three minute walk from Elmhurst Avenue R train. Easy parking when you first arrive.

I was recommended to Francis by a friend. He helped me review and purchase a used Honda CRV. He was very forthright, and extremely competent. He was patient as the process went on through a few cars - and was always friendly and available by land line, cell phone and email - all very promptly. He also repaired quite a bit of body work on my Mercury Sable. He was considerably less expensive than the body shop I had used in the past (who I was very happy with). After the initial review, he indicated that the hood and door panel should be replaced as the dents were too severe. He worked on pricing etc - then came back and figured out a way to repair the existing door to keep the cost down (by injecting the bonding compound through holes to make sure it would stay permanently). His premises is not neat or orderly by any means, but the bathroom was (surprisingly) very clean and he is excellent at delivering honest results at a great price. I recommend him most highly.

I was recommended by a friend to Accua Auto Service and met Francis whom had given me the knowledge of what is best for my car. He was very serious when explaining the best way to repair my car and what might happen in the future if I don't repair this way. He may not be the friendliest mechanic there is but he is very knowledgeable. I don't really know much when it comes to car repairs. I was in an accident a year ago and I came to Francis for advice. He told me what are the necessary repairs and what is the best solution. He gave me a few choices and I decided to go with his advice. Overall I was satisfied with the outcome and the price was reasonable. I had done an inspection recently, which is a reasonable amount of wait time considering it being a Saturday afternoon with a few other cars waiting in line. It is very hard to find an honest mechanic and I have found that trait in Francis. I would definitely recommend Francis to my friends.
