These guys are the best!!!!! If you bring your car in & say, "I need a new #9 widget," they'll check it out & if you don't need it (even if they ordered it for you), they'll tell you that you don't need it. The shop may be in a bad neighborhood, but they pay attention to see if you get to your car ok when it's dark, they always lock your car, and if you leave it overnight, they ensure it's inside. They don't treat any customers like they're dumb -- all are treated the same (male & female). I appreciate the time they take to explain any problems and the fact that they never talk to me like I couldn't possibly understand. They spent months trying to figure out a particularly strange problem on my friend's car, even took parts out of their own vehicle to eliminate potential causes, while not making my friend replace parts that weren't malfunctioning. These guys can't be beat!!!

Larry saved my old (1980) Honda Prelude and kept it running for 2 years past the week that 2 other repair shops told me:"Its time to junk it and buy a new one." I take my 1987 Accord to them now (135,000 miles). My wife's Volvo (1992 740 wagon) also gets serviced there. Steve was very patient recently nursing me and the vehicle through a balky oxygen sensor problem. Their rates are not bargain basement (sometimes you do get what you pay for), but they don't charge you by the "book rate" for jobs. And often they'll recommend doing 2 things at once in order to save on duplicative labor charges.

I've been going to these guys for about 10 years, forst with an Acura Integra and then with a Honda Civic Coupe. I do many of the simple maintenance tasks myself but for larger, more involved repairs I've been completely satisfied with the work that Larry's has done. I knew I found the right shop when I first walked in and saw all the old racing and product posters, etc ... on the walls of their garage. These guys are not merely mechanics, but life- long auto enthusiasts and I believe these folks are the preferred type to have working on your car.
