Sandy has serviced my car for more than five years. He always explains throughly and takes the time to hear me. He knows the car throughly. He once mentioned that the battery was not holding a charge as well as it might and we should replace it within a few months. We didn't and one cold morning three months later the battery was too weak to start the car. His shop is small - himself and two assistants. His sense of responsibility is simple. If the car is not running well, he is not doing his job. A high point was when the car was failing to start. The problem seemed to be a discharged battery. I suggested that the alternator might be old. He found a loose wire. No charge.

Sandy did great work on my old car ... then, after the other reviewer (1999) ... he retired, closed up shop. I miss him a lot. My daughter's father's old housemate turned me on to him ... I used him as my mechanic from about 1994 until ...?? 2000? 2001? I just know I called one day and the number was out of service. Such is life. Irreplaceable.
