I found Harry's by calling around to find the best price on a clutch for my '90 Honda Civic. They quoted me $100 less than all others I had called in my neighborhood, and I had the car in and out within 24 hrs! To boot, when I picked the car up Harry himself took a few minutes to show me all the old parts, where and how they were worn out, and assured me that if I felt it needed adjusting after a couple days of driving to bring it right back at no charge. As a woman who knows her way around cars I really appreciated this. He's since been a very trusted mechanic, has provided great advice and incredibly fast service - I drop the car off on my way to work and it's almost always done by 5:00 that day. He's great!

Harry's is great. My car was shaking at 50 mph. Harry looked at the car, concluded it was the tires, rotated them for free and directed me to an affordable flat fix. Another mechanic in the area quoted me very expensive front end work. Guess what, Harry's free courtesy solved the problem and made me a repeat customer.

When other shops were quoting 150-200 dollars worth of work, I took my 1990 Toyota Corolla to Harry's. A mechanic came out and did a quick look at my car and made some very helpful and inexpensive suggestions. The car has responded well and may not need an expensive repair. It took 5 minutes of his time but when I need a mechanic, I will go straight to Harry's.

I went to harry's thinking that my clutch went, but they were honest and told me that it was just a cylinder. they could have charged me about $800 for the job if they had lied, but it only cost me $250. Another time I went they fixed my emergency brake and didn't even charge me. I have been looking for a good shop for years and I have finally found one I can trust.

I found Harry through car talk and he did not dissapoint. He took the time to show me what was wrong and show me the parts he replaced.

Harry rocks... he one of those ol school mechanics who enjoys repairing mechanical things, rather than simply replacing parts for profit/ease. I was having horrible problems with the shift mechanism on my 96 Sub Legacy Wgn. Rather than simply replacing the part(s), he took apart the entire shift mechanism, scraped off the encrusted (Maine) corrosion, lubed it up, and put it back together. All for the insane price of about $50 or $60. This has been my only experience w/him so far, but, this experience w/him certainly bodes well. I'm going to him now instead of Steph (downtown Brooklyn)... mainly for convenience, but, also... Harry is just a sweet guy. Recommended. ESN
