  • My car was towed to Sierra Car Care after I was stranded without a lot of options coming back from vacation in the remote desert in Northern Nevada. I have to say that Don (the head tech) was perhaps the most competent and thorough mechanic that I've ever had work on my car. He carefully explained everything that was going on within the system that wasn't working (basically too much desert dust in my air flow system was causing idling issues). He recommended some further services once I made it back home - but I knew he wasn't trying to get me to buy services that I didn't need because he explained what each part did and why it needed to be worked on or replaced. Since I am female, it really means a lot to me to have a mechanic who can explain things without being patronizing or talking down to me because I'm a woman and "don't know anything about cars." He even ate the labor charge for installing the factory part after the third-party part didn't fix the original problem. I cannot say enough good things about the guys at Sierra Car Care - best mechanics I've ever had!
