Shop is right off I 40. Shop has a good reputation locally. Larry is a friendly guy you can talk to.

We arrived in Moriarty, NM on the way to Albuquerque on a Sunday afternoon with a failed alternator. The battery was powering the car and finally died right at a hotel. I saw Larry's shop when coming into town and the hotel recommended their work. They were right! I called on Monday morning at 7:45 and Larry answered, even though the shop didn't open until 8:00. I explained the problem and he recommended a towing service. I had the car towed to the shop (it was stone dead), Larry ordered an alternator and replacement belts (I had requested this as they were the original ones and were 10 years old) and they arrived from Albuquerque at 10:30. His mechanic (there were at least 3 mechanics at the shop) went right to work. While he did have some problem replacing the belts as the clearances are REALLY tight, the job was finished and we drove away happily at 2:30. The cost for the parts was reasonable and the labor was REALLY reasonable. A GREAT job in an emergency situation (for me) that saved the day (and the vacation). Thanks, Larry! Don't hesitate to have your repairs done by Larry. His shop does everything from transmissions to exhaust systems (and everything else), as you can imagine would be necessary in a very small town.

We "fell into" getting repairs done at Larry's as we had problems on I-40 outside of Moriarty. I've very glad that the problem happened there, if it had to happen. We were traveling cross-country so had no idea what we were going to find, and were braced for getting charged an arm and a leg. The car had lost a lot of coolant so we knew it was in the coolant system, but not exactly where. Larry took me out to the shop and showed me the water pump pulley flopping up and down. He also showed me where two of the hoses were about to fail (something our local mechanic missed when inspecting the car for the trip). He and another mechanic quickly installed replacements after Larry and the office worker found the right parts and Larry went to get them. While we were waiting, with our dog, we were treated with courtesy and enjoyable conversation. From arrival to departure was only a little over two hours, and at a price better than we had expected. Good job, done fast and done right. We were able to put another 400 miles on the car that afternoon and evening.
