I have only lived in Albuquerque for 4 months... during that time I have acquired an 87 Honda Accord that needs some of the structural work that all older cars need. I took "Charlie" to three different places for price estimates on a front left axle replacement (bad CV joint): a local Honda dealer, a random place, and.. on the positively glowing recommendation of a female colleague of mine, I also took the car to Rob Robinson at A-Plus. Not only was he the lowest in cost, but he took the time to explain everything to me and showed me what they were going to do. Being a female car owner myself, I value that a great deal. He was not at all condescending, and I noticed that many of his other clients were also women. (I stayed while the work was done.) The shop was organized and client-friendly as were his staff... Best of all, the work was done properly. No more clicking up front. All around a good experience... And when the struts need to be replaced in about 500 miles, you can bet where I will go. Thanks! ALB P.S. For those of you with families, I should tell you that the woman who recommended him went through 3 teenagers' cars with this shop. If you can come away from that and still feel positive about a mechanic's competence (let alone your pocket book), he has to be worth a try.

We stopped in Albuequerque on vacation. Our car AC was not cooling well. I called the garage (based on the location and review which were on this web site) late in the day. I explained to the owner that we wanted to leave town the next morning. He agreed to check the car out at 8:00 AM the next morning and clarified that if it required any significant work he simply didn't have the time to do it as there were so many cars ahead of me. Nevertheless I was there early the next morning and the mechanics added Freon after checking the AC pressures. Not only did they get me on the road by 9 o'clock am, they didn't even charge me!
