I believe them to be the most competent and honest folks I have ever come across in their line of work. They not only treat male and female customers equally, but also have a female mechanic (Bridie). They are the best.

Thay charged about the same as the dealer wanted to replace my clutch and did it right the first time. They didn't leave spare parts under my hood like Garcia Honda did & they fixed more than they charged me for. Without asking or charging me they also fixed my exhaust rattle which had been driving me nuts. I'd much rather go to these guys than the dealer, these guys seem competent & honest. Several friends told me "They ain't cheap, but they always do good work."

They are smart, competent and fun to deal with. They've gone above and beyond on all our cars for about 12 years. Mostly Volvos (now with 250K plus mile on them) but they've tacked Toyotas and even rebuilt the rear end of our Toyota- body RV.

They were recommended by an acquaintance who belonged to the New Mexico Oldsmobile Club and who knew Jim personally. I have never regreted taking my car to them and have developed a smart alec friendly relationship with them. I drive an 1981 Pontiac Grand Prix that they lovingly (?) call the "blue dinosaur." They "ain't cheap," but they are worth it.

Jim and the guys are the first mechanics I've ever dealt with who didn't get a greedy glint when they say my 4'10 woman in a suit self coming through the door. They take terrific care of both vehicles, donate to our school fundraisers when asked, don't laugh too hard when the problem ends up being a melted crayon in the van door, or a national park ticket stub in the AC, making that ultra loud noise. A great shop. Not cheap, but great.

Jim's Automotive Inc. has been fantastic for many years. I would never go anywhere else in Albuquerque.
