great service, cool, extremely competent staff + it is the only shop, in my experience, to feature in its while-u- wait stack of literature: The Economist, The Nation, Harpers, The Atlantic, The New Yorker; I am impressed that they would expect the customer to be just as progressive and HIP!

This shop is the world's best reason to own a volvo. David, Eric, and Jim have been working on these cars since forever and seldom have to search for the answer to a problem. My daughter now drives our old 1984 240 series with almost a quarter million miles on it and they treat her like their own daughter. They also keep my 1986 740 on the road. This is a competent and friendly shop with good people.

I owned a 2000 Volvo S80. Anyone who has had one has quickly become well known with his mechanic. The car just felt it necessary to visit the mechanic every few months. The Independent Volvo folks always knew what to do and fixed it correctly the first time. It wasn't always inexpensive, but that's the privelege you have when you are an S80 owner. And, by the way, Independent Volvo sponsors the local PBS station and listens to it in the shop during the day.
