I used Level 10 to repair a severely damaged 86 Honda Accord LXi automatic transmission. The place came to my attention through an ad in a used car sales weekly magazine that I purchased. I spoke with several other transmission repair specialists, some in person. Level 10's head mechanic/owner(?), Pat Barrett, talked with me over the phone for about 10 minutes, asking detailed questions about the problem, coming up with a "ballpark" repair estimate. The repair came with a 3-year/36,000 mile transferable warranty, unlike anyone else's warranty which was non- transferable and 12,000 miles at best. Mr. Barrett's knowledge came through in that conversation. In addition, his company's main business is developing custom racing transmission modifications for customer/dealer installation. You may wonder why I would invest repair money in an '86 Honda. The car was my mother's and spent its 12 years in California without a scrape/ no rust, and with only 26,000 miles! I have driven it now for almost a year, putting 20,000 miles on it. The transmission operates perfectly and I expect it to do so for many more miles. Level 10 did more than repair the transmission. They rebuilt it with their own parts, making it stronger & better than the original.

I blew the transmission of my Monte SS while I was in PA. The car went off to the local PA repair shop (the one that does the police cars), and I got a rental. Three weeks later they tell me it's done, I pick it up, and it doesn't shift right. Back to the shop it goes. This exercise in incompetence is repeated 3x's before I give up and limp to Pat Barret's shop. He personally went for a drive and confirmed the problem I noticed and found a couple of others. A few weeks later, I got back my car, and it was better than new!! It felt more solid, shifted crisper (chirped the tires in 3 gears!), and I got better fuel economy! It is worth the drive from anywhere to bring it to Level 10! Just have enough saved up for the long term rental.

They solved and fixed a transmission problem I had had for a few years. They managed to fix a problem that thousands of Nissan Maximas have, from Maxima models from 2004 through 2008. I would recommend them to any and all frustrated Nissan Maxima owners.
