Sal is one great guy and he and his employees are very competent. To get the car in you call, set the day, drop the car off the night before in his lot. The car goes in the next day and unless the repair is truly major,i.e. engine rebuild, tranmission rebuild or replace etc. it is always done the same day. I have dealt with Sal for all of our car repairs for the past 18 years. Our cars have not always been new or even good. Sal has kept them on the road, safely, long after they should have been put down for their own good. He has always offered quality parts, and or the option of major used from the yard, if we couldn't see our way financially for the more expensive choice. He always calls to tell me what's needed or what's going on with the car. He tows when needed, day or night.

We have been using Sal's for almost 12 years, always on old cars which are now very old cars. He and his staff have kept these cars running and safe for all of this time, and I trust their work completely. They are always willing to find gently used parts if you don't want an entirely new one, and Sal is always concerned about keeping costs down for you, and will tell you if a repair is not critical or can be done in a less expensive (but equally safe) way. On the rare occasion when we've had a difficult problem that was not easily solved the first time (I emphasize: this has been rare), Sal will keep at the problem and has given us discounts on the work if the car came back in. With old cars, we go to Sal's often, and except for major problems the car is always done within the day. Unlike what the other reviewer wrote, we just show up in the morning with a car and they get the work done that day, without any idea we're coming until we show up. Sal, his wife, and his staff are all really nice as well. He has offered us rides when we leave a car, and while we haven't needed them most times, we have taken him up on that offer from time to time.
