This is a family thing. When I was 24 and fresh from school I would take my Accord to the dealer for everything (see how fast that eats your first few paychecks). My then future mother-in-law told me about Marvin and it's been smooth sailing ever since (10 years and counting). By last count I had my father (Mercedes & Jag), one of my friends (VW) and a couple of my wife's friends (Fords & GMs) taking their vehicles to Marvin and Maurice. They are so honest with regards to what needs to be done on my car, I usually show up every 7500 miles with the instructions of "Marvin -- do whatever you think is necessary" (TRY THAT ONE AT THE DEALER!). They are speedy (never had to live without a car of more than 2 days). They are also reasonably priced, ESPECIALLY on labor costs. Finally, if they can't do something (eg Body Work), they always send you to a reasonable, reputable specialist. Go there -- You'll love 'em!

Friendly and honest - Marvin will tell you when work isn't needed! Like another commenter, I'm also comfortable telling him to do whatever is needed. I was referred to him years ago and have always trusted his work.

I just moved to the area and needed a mechanic for an older, high mileage truck that shortly after the move blew an oil gasket, lost power steering and had the brake lines fail. Marvin is fantastic. He got the car back on the road quickly and at a reasonable price. He does excellent work and is very honest. He knows my car well and makes suggestions to combine upcoming maintenance with the current work if the current work opens up the car to make the future work easier and quicker and therefore less expensive. His hours are convenient with the after hours drop off and he will hang around late if he knows I am coming from work to pick up the car. He saved the power steering part that failed and took time at the end of the day to explain what had happened to my wife. Not many guys will do that. I am very pleased I found him and look forward to many years with him maintaining the car. I really think Marvin is kind of like Click and Clack.
