The owner is well experienced with Subaru (Master Tech) with I think over 20+ years experience at a Subaru dealer prior. His prices are quite reasonable and demeanor is wonderful. Very good to deal with in my last 10 years of Subaru ownership.

If you have a Subaru and live in northern MA / southern NH, you should be going to Scotty. He's spent over 20 years in a variety of capacities at SOA, and so he knows his stuff. Spent 45 minutes chatting with him about cars and Subarus before my ride got there, and got very comfortable with his customer service skills. His labor rates are well below what you're used to paying for Subaru service, and he uses Subaru parts. My car needed a couple of overnights stay, so he arranged a nearby Enterprise rental. He's got exactly what you're looking for in a regular mechanic: while the thing is apart, he's looking for and repairing all the other little things that are going to cause you trouble down the road, and I didn't have to mortgage my first born when I got the car back. Very happy with my first experience there, and while I hope I don't have too many more major issues with my car, I know where I'm going when I do. You should too. www.scottyscountryauto.com

Scotty has done a fantastic job every time we go in. If you have a Subaru, there is no point in taking it anywhere else. After doing work, if you're interested, he will lay out all the broken parts that he replaced on a table and will explain exactly where and how they failed. Excellent mechanic. Knowledgeable. Fast. Honest. Five stars.

Scotty is the best. He's a knowledgeable, honest, articulate, thoughtful, straight-shooter, intelligent mechanic. Wish I'd found him *before* the dealer service shop killed our engine by not putting the t-valve back correctly. Buying another Subaru, in part, because we have a mechanic we know will take good care of the car. Almost don't want to recommend him so highly, because he's a one-man shop, and sometimes it's hard to get in as soon as we'd like. But he deserves it.
