I have taken our BMWs to John and George at Sports Car Garage since 1982. These two mechanics understand imported German, British and Swedish cars They also have about 25 parts cars -- this is a big help as my pride and joy is a '71 2002 that I bought new. They have also done an excellent job in maintaining my wife's '89 325i. Recently that car needed a power steering pump, so they helped me locate a used one at a very good price from a BMW wrecking yard in Alabama. When the original fuel pump died, they got the car towed to the shop, and had the car back on the road in two days. This was outstanding, as two different fuel pumps were used on that car during that model year and the local BMW dealers had neither in stock. Sports Car Garage just finished a complete overhaul of the engine of my '71 2002. They updated the car with a 5 speed transmission from an '81 320i. At 253,000 miles this classic sports car has a new lease on life. The work wasn't cheap ($4,000, half of which was parts and machine shop Although most of their customers drive BMWs, Saabs, Porsches, Audis and British sports cars, I have seen them work on other makes including Rolls Royces, a DeLorean, a 1960's Humber station wagon and occasionally a Nissan or Subaru. I highly recommend this independent foreign car repair shop.

Although John says he hates them, this is the only place I've ever been able to take a Jaguar XJ-6 for a complete, reasonably priced repair. I tried dealers in Phoenix and Arizona and another Omaha repair shop before I was referred to John. The others were outrageously expensive and did not do good jobs.
