It's a one man shop owned by Bill Harris. He's the kind of mechanic people like to find, he doesn't fix something if it isn't broken. He'll also tell you if it's something he doesn't work on, like a broken radio. He has a small, two bay shop --- the neighborhood mechanic.

This is just a wonderful man who is honest beyond reproach and has the lowest labor costs I have seen. He is the best.

I have used many mechanics over the years. Once in a while I find one that reminds me of my grandfather, who owned his own gas stations and knew cars inside and out. He treated his customers with respect and only replaced the parts that needed fixing that were a reasonable price(not the 100 dollar rotor when the 30 dollar rotor does the same job) This is this type of man. He has been in the same location for many years and I always reccomend him to anybody I know that needs their car worked on. One other thing, please dont go to the dealer, they all are the same, full of ... anchovies!!

I am 56. I have used many mechanics/shops over the years. I have been ripped off/dissatisfied by/with many of them. So it was a great day when I discovered Bill. He is honest, and competent. And charges very reasonable rates. Is there anymore one can ask?

I went to this garage based on comments in "car talk" after being quoted such high prices at the dealer, and at another garage. This garage charged much less and did a fantastic job, also told me I did not need everything done that I had been told at the first two places.

Bill did a great job updating me on the problem and fixing my car in a timely manner. I was lucky to be near this shop when my car broke down.

I found this mechanic through this website, and I am so happy I looked here. I feel lucky to be able to trust someone to fix my car.

Wonderful owner-operated mechanic shop. You won't be dissapointed with this guy.

Bill was recommended to me by a co-worker. I took my car to him just for an oil change and to ask a couple questions about my car riding a little rough. He told me what I needed to have done (which were things he didn't have the equipment to do) and even found something unrelated that was broken that I didn't know about. It was the hose from my radiator overflow cap. He told me he didn't have the part, but told me where to get it and how to fix it myself once I got the part. And he only charged me for the oil change. I have heard only good things about him and will be taking my husbands car, which is having electrical problems, to him very soon.

We have a daughter at college in Raleigh, we are a thousand miles away in Maine. Having a mechanic she can depend on and we can trust is very important. This shop has been extremely honest and helpful for her. They always take the time to talk to her parents when we call with a concern about her auto. Highly recommended.
