Bob is the greatest! He used to manage Merchants Tire on Highway 70, and I was his customer there for many years. He helped me find my current vehicle (a Jeep Cherokee which has only needed an alternator beyond regular maintance in the last 4 years). I did not realize that he had left Merchant's until last week when I went to Tire King to give a friend a ride home. When I tried to start my car, the battery was dead-even though Tire King was officially closed, Bob re-opened and got me started--he advised me that it was a battery problem, but also reminded me that the battery in my car was purchased at Merchants and should be under warranty. I went to Merchants(45 minutes before closing) and was told there that they could not replace my battery because they didn't have any tools, that they could not help me in any way, and they were so mean and rude to me that they made me cry. So much for customer service and my years of doing business with them!( My previous car averaged $150.00 a month in the shop- I was on a first name basis with all the mechanics there). I asked Bob at Tire King about it the next day, and he told me that you don't need any special tools to replace a battery and that if he had known how badly they were going to treat me that he would have stayed late and replaced my battery. As a single mom, service rather than price is my most important issue-Tire King is competitive and the fact that they actually CARE about their customers is an enormous benefit.

Carter has been repairing my vehicles for several years. I have NO COMPLAINTS about his work or about how he has treated me. He must feel confident about his work - he sold my previous vehicle for me to a member of his own family! I think that says something for how he maintained the car.

The whole shop is composed of people who are just plain excellent. I wouldn't let anyone else touch any of my vehicles. They are trustworthy without question.

My thirty-something daughter referred me to King's Auto Service several years ago because they had treated her fairly, explained complicated issues in lay terms and been respectful of her limited budget to keep her car operating safely. My personal experiences have been equally positive. On three occasions the actual repair costs were less than the estimates; one was less by more than $100. I would not have known had King's billed me at or over the estimated cost. These are skilled technicians with integrity. When estimates are exceeded, Steve Poole always phones for prior approval and makes clear representation of the cause and necessity.

They repaired the hybrid battery in my Prius for half the price the dealer quoted, with twice the warranty. They seemed very sharp and seemed to understand the complex hybrid technology. I was pleasantly surprised to find someone so knowledgeable about hybrids and I will take my Prius there again.
