Mort is very honest and responsible. Their prices are reasonable and I'm always pleasantly surprised by how quickly the work gets done. If they are unable to do they work they will find someone who can and talk with that mechanic about it.

They're outstanding. Trustworthy, reasonable, accurate, fast, and great customer service.

Mort is a great and honest mechanic. After moving here, I wanted to find a good honest mechanic instead of getting ripped off by Firestone. I found one.

I took my Saturn to Mort with a mysterious, off-and-on coolant leak. Although he wasn't able to solve the mystery, he explained all the tests he did -- and recommended I go get a second opinion, rather than trying to sell me lots of expensive repairs that might or might not have solved anything. Soon after that, the transmission started kicking. I got Mort on the phone, and not only did he offer some suggestions (starting with the easiest and cheapest), he also gave me step-by-step instructions over the phone on checking the transmission fluid level myself. This guy is gold. He's honest, competent, friendly, and didn't talk down to me even though I'm a young woman. Definitely take your car to him.

My 20 y.o. daughter was on her way home to VA when her 1988 Toyota Tercel broke its timing belt on I-40 outside Greensboro. I got these guys' name from the Mechan-X files. They had her timing belt replaced for a very reasonable price about 3 hours from when she had it towed in. The price was at the low end of their estimate. And they were very friendly. You can't ask for more than that.

I'm a female and I've dealt with Mort for years for both my Hondas and my Toyota. I always feel comfortable going to Curry Tire. I know they're honest and their prices are reasonable and they are very customer oriented. Ask for Mort -- he's great!

Our 2001 Chevy Malibu just wouldn't start. After reviewing a few of the comments left on this site I decided to take our car to Curry. I wasn't disappointed. Mort was a super nice guy. He performed a series of tests and finally decided that our problem was with the theft deterrent system. Unfortunately, he couldn't fix it so he suggested we take it to a dealer. He was extremely sypmathetic to our problem and also seemed genuinely interested in us following up with him to tell him how the dealer fixed it. He didn't charge us anything. When next I need someone to look at my car, I'm taking it to Mort.

My daughter's car quit on her... found Mort through Car Talk... called him he took care of it quick. Turned out it was only the battery, got her in and out in less than an hour. Was very friendly to both me and my college age daughter. Definitely honest and a gentleman. I'll have her take her car there for regular maintenance.

I just learned that they have permanently closed, as of December 23, 2016. Too bad - they were a great shop with great people.
