The phone number and address I have for this mechanic is 704-587-9997 on John Price Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. This shop was suggested to me by a neighbor who told me the owner, "Rick", was trustworthy and competent. Once there,I found him to be professional and straightforward in his discussions with me, (a "mature" female), and I felt comfortable with his comments. Because I've been driving for 50 years, you might imagine the encounters I've had with car dealers and mechanics... I've begun to know what to believe. I drive a Rialta, which has a volkswagen engine and chassis, and have been appalled and disgusted with the service I've received with the local Volkswagen South shop who once reminded me that they're "the only Volkswagen dealer within four hundred miles who has a lift capable of handling the Rialta." So, sadly, after they made numerous mistakes in servicing my vehicle, (forgetting to include the antifreeze after changing & checking fluid levels, forgetting to add stickers after (supposedly) changing the recalled fans, and other errors too lengthy for this message, and even after I had reported their inadequacies to Volkswagen of America, including their many and frequent Service Manager job changes, nothing improved. I bought tires from "Rick" and I plan to return to his shop whenever I need an evaluation or service which he tells me he can provide.

Rick Wasson is a independent auto shop. He will take time to tell you what is wrong with your car, price it out, and it has always been less than other shops in the area. Just because I am a female, he did not take advantage, but took more time to explain. He sells new and used tires too, so I was able to get my engine work, inspection and tires at the same place. He does not mind working on cars other places turn away ( an really old Lincoln of mine was fixed when two other shops refused me). He will bend over backwards to accomodate folks. One time he even personally gave me a ride home 20 miles away when I broke down near his shop. Rick is a good guy. I like supporting small business and recommend him to anyone.

New owner, but really nice guy carrying on the place's reputation. He was fast yet thorough and fixed all of the issues smoothly. Definitely going back there.
