Kerry and his staff have been working on my 250K+ mileage cars (Nissan truck and Honda Civic) for years, now on my 2002 Toyota Corolla. As a woman who has done engine rebuilds, tuneups, etc, myself, I'm in a position to discuss with them at pretty detailed level and have always found them informative, respectful, and responsive to needs to keep costs down. And who knows, you may just get into an philosophical, cultural or political conversation with these fun and intelligent guys. HIghly recommended!

Advantage Automotive, Inc. is located at 240 Biltmore Ave. Directly in front of Macormic Field. There is city bus service right outside the front door. 25 years experience.

Kerry and his staff have always gone out of their way to be helpful and informative, are always careful to do only what's authorized or to contact if more is needed. Shop is relaxed and pleasant, quick turnaround or they'll tell you so you don't waste your time. You may even get into a fun political or philosophical discussion with the intelligent and friendly mechanics, and how many places can you get THAT?

The owner, Kerry Peffers, is very "down to earth" and explains things well. He is not insulting to woman like so many mechanics are. If he cannot do the work you need done, he will help you find someone who can. I have been taking my cars to Kerry for over 6 years now and have always had positive experiences.

I found this shop using Car Talk's website and was not disappointed. I only had a routine oil change, but they took me into their garage to show me some things I hadn't noticed that were going with my fluids. This was the first time a mechanic stood beside my truck and explained things (kindly) to me so that I visually understood exactly what they were talking about. I now feel more of a connection to my truck and as if some of the mystery of what happens under the hood has been removed.

Kerry is an honest mechanic. For example, I once thought I needed brakes, but he said I didn't and made a much less expensive adjustment that solved the problem. I can always count on him to be fair and straightforward. I highly recommend Advantage Automotive.

Kerry was recommended by a friend and I enjoyed his honesty and integrity. The staff completed the work quickly and took extra care to make sure I was happy with the results. We took a drive and he explained all of the problems and couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend advantage automotive

Holy fish, what an awesome place! Kerry, the owner, is the most trustworthy mechanic I have ever met. I brought my car in for a new wheel-bearing. He took me for a ride, explained to me how he listens for it. Then took me in to the shop and let me listen to the wheels when it was up on the lift. I could hear the problem! Even though it was still safe to drive, I had him do the repair, and he fixed a piece of trim on my car for a LOT less than the Toyota dealership. He even drove me home (granted I only live about 3 miles away) instead of making me call a cab. He has a customer for life with me. I will always go to him for issues, because I know he won't screw me.
