Been going there for 23 years. He's helped keep our 1993 Nissan truck (264K) running - also a Honda, a Dodge, another Nissan and he's done work on our current Toyota. Good crew, and his wife works w/ him at the shop. Nice people.

Yesterday I called, wasn't sure what was wrong. "Bring it in" (it was 4:30). Valve cover gasket leak (10 years, almost 300K miles). Arranged a rental car through the local, awesome body shop, Gene dropped me off to get the car, fixed our car today -- very inexpensive -- and dropped me off again to return the rental. He and his shop have saved us thousands over what a dealer wanted us to fix "you're smart enough to keep an eye on the power steering fluid level -- if it becomes a problem we'll replace the unit -- otherwise why spend a couple thousand on a car this old?" Same for two other big-ticked items. Over 25 years, never unhappy. ONCE a tire seemed out of balance so he redid it. No problem.
