Tom is great but a little gruff (in a nice way). He's very honest and does a great job on Audi's (there are no dealers here). He's from the middle east so the conversations are brief but to the point. Highly recommended.

Tom is a little difficult to communicate with at first due to his strong Greek accent, but it's a lot of fun to get him started on German vs. Mexican replacement parts. He can go on for hours.

I had to get the timing belt or some other rather expensive work done on my Honda and I called all over town looking for a good price. When I first talked to Tom on the phone, he was one of the mechanics that had a brief, not so friendly tone to his voice. But his price was right and he seemed more honest about the pricing than others. So because of his low extimate I took the car in. After that sucessful job, i was hooked. Tom and his crew do a great job, they have reasonable prices, they are located near downtown, they are a local business...all of what i was looking for! His son i think started to work in the shop now and then, so you might talk with him at the counter some day. He's also a man of few words. Tom was my main mechanic in Columbia and i miss him. I just moved out of town and miss his greek flair in Columbia, Missouri. Oh, and when i first started going there i don't think he did such a great job explaining problems/repairs. But in the last few years he has showed me the broken parts, explained where things went wrong, and made me learn a few things.

The replaced my Passat door locks with ones from a Jetta. Now my windows go down each time I open the door with the key.

love this guy. very nice without necessarily being pleasant, honest to the grizzled bone.

I have found them to be quite honest with the repair work needed for my car. They have not "found" other things wrong with the car. They fix the problem and they get you on your way.

I took my Jetta to Tom's for the two years I lived in Columbia. They always fixed the problem I brought it in for at a reasonable price. I was impressed that they recently closed on Sundays -- actually, I was impressed that any car repair shop was open on Sundays. An example of the shop's work ethic.
