They fix only what needs to be fixed, and they are not likely to go hunting for extra work (they're usually to busy for that). They do sometimes go ahead and fix minor things you didn't specifically discuss (like replacing both left front bearings (for cheep) rather than just the busted one of the pair). But they can be trusted to do a good job and steer you right on things they can't handle. They don't always open as early as their sign says, but they stay until jobs are done.

Pat, the mechanic at Miller's is awesome. He does the job that needs to be done and his prices are so low I feel guilty. The last time I went there, he was unable to identify the problem (it seems to be an intermittently bad fuel relay), explained what he had checked barely charged me anything, and apologized. The place is great!

Pat at Miller's Service is great. He treated my old '89 truck like it was his own. He recommended what needed fixing and what could be safely put off. His prices are great. The shop is really really busy so it does take a while to get your car in to get serviced. But his guys are often working until 8-9pm and on the weekends, so I know he's not a slacker. A real good guy all around, one of the last dying breed of trustworthy neighborhood mechanics.

Miller's is a great, affordable, neighborhood garage. It's not fancy. It doesn't have couches or free coffee or sales staff. You might even find it a bit intimidating to walk in the first time. But what you are going to get is your car fixed about as affordably as possible. If you own cars that just need to keep running, this is the kind of shop that you are going to love. I've brought in a 2004 Honda mini-van and a 2006 Saturn Ion for a couple of years and I've always been pleased with how affordable and well done the work it. I am always confident that Pat is just fixing the problem at hand. He's even gone so far as as to send a guy to my house (just a few blocks away) to pick up the car.
