The best thing about Greg is that he'll tell you when you don't need to get something fixed. Very good mechanic and his prices are super resonable. He is an independent so really wants the return business. I'd trust him with my mothers car. (And I like my mom!!)

After listening to a very timely cartalk, I realized that I probably had a wheel bearing that was about to fail. I called Gernentz (after looking him up here) and from the questions he asked, the wheel bearing thing was pretty much confirmed. He worked me in on the following Monday, vacuumed my car and cleaned the windows and mirrors - inside and out. The cost was $234 which I thought was reasonable. I was so pleasantly surprized by the vacuumed car and clean windows and mirrors when I picked the car up, that I smiled the whole way home. I definitely will be back. Thanks Greg!!

We have taken our 1994 Ford Explorer two times to Gernetz'. Both times any disreputable mechanic could have easily bilked us for a huge bill. Both times the mechanic at Gernetz simply jiggled a few wires and told us that was the problem. No charge. They were friendly, honest, and genuinely seemed to make sure we felt comfortable. Do yourself a favor and see them first!

I have only been to Gernetz's once (for brake work) but had a good feeling about the mechanic as soon as I talked with him. He did a great job, finding a leak in the master cylinder which also needed fixing. He was able to do the complete job, same day, at a very good price. Later when I told 3 friends about my pleasant experience, they all said they also take their cars there and are very pleased!

My son's first car, a $1000 Honda bought from a trusted mechanic friend of mine, was having starting difficulties. My son's first stop (at some other establishment) got him an $80 battery, YIKES, and some song and dance about his starter. After he called back with the same problem I got on your website immediately. I found Gernentz Auto Service and passed the information along to him. It all came down to a loose battery cable connection which was replaced. He didn't even want to charge for it but my son gave him a $20 anyway. Oh by the way, the starter is just fine.

Don't know what their response would be if they screwed up: they never have for me.

Greg runs a good shop. He is honest, patient, and gives good service. He lets you know when things are coming up like estimates when brakes need to be worked on, or how much tread is left on your tires. He even has taken a moment to check a car for my wife when I was out of town. I feel I can rely on his judgement on cars and car repairs!
