Since we moved from southern Minnesota to Woodbury 9 years ago, we found Carver Repair and have used them for all vehicles ever since. They are very good and fast. Their prices are not cheap, but compare with other places where the quality is not as good. I don't mind paying a fair price for a job well done. Their hours are a little inconvenient (they close at 6PM and do not work on weekends) but I'm willing to adjust my schedule to have them do the work. Also, you do have to get an appointment because they (rightfully) are very booked. 6/13/01

Willing to help save me money by doing only what is really needed. Even willing to use parts supplied by me.

I am a Mechanical Engoneer who has worked in the Detroit automotive industry and I feel that Carver is an excellent repair shop. The mechanics are first rate professionals. Their prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality work. They are very honest in their dealing with their customers, evem the customers who may not know anything about cars. Women especially would feel very comfortable dealing with this shop.

I had a problem with the power steering on my 1997 Dodge Dakota. I took it in on Thurday and it was ready on Friday and along with taking care of the power steering they also replaced (at my direction) the serpentine belt. I am very happy with the service and the people there were very friendly.

My husband and I have taken many vehicles to Carver over the years. They always have good advise and quick repair times.

They do ordinary & routine maintenance as expected. On the Pontiac Vibe, we had a brake noise and they found a small rock on a pad. That might be simple but it was consistent with other "solutions" on various cars. On an older truck, thay had to replace many wires but did solve a major electrical problem at a reasonable price (we did not have to trash the vehicle). I use them often enough that they know me by name - I think they try to do this.

These guys do good work. They are good at troubleshooting and try the simplest solutin first. I had cross threaded the spark plug threads on an outboard motor with an aluminum head. I'd talked to several marine shops about retapping the threads but they all gave me a song and dance about how hard a job this would be and would take a long time, etc, etc. Carver's shop looked like the small town shops that I grew up with so I decided to give them a try. They said it would be no problem, they'd put in a helicoil and it would be good as new. They did the work and it turned out great. I've been a loyal customer ever since.
