Erv (known as "Sonny" to his customers) lights up his pipe often during the day, and will talk with you while clenching it in his teeth. Also, his shop is protected by the usual security devices along with an unusual, large, albino Great Dane dog, who has free reign of the entire shop. When you enter the shop, be prepared to be visited by the Great Dane. And as this is "small town" northern Minnesota, it's quite common to have Sonny's wife, his son, or his daughter just drop in to chat. But he's always honest with all his customers. And often goes out of his way to help someone in need.

Erv is an honest to goodness hard worker. Definitely from the old school. Knows he's my number one guy to go to for my car repairs.

Replaced a fuel pump that was not defective. Problem was in connector on top of tank. Left me stranded and had to be towed to another dealer who fixed the problem promptly
