I have been bringing my vehicles here for years. I have recomended everyone them to everyone I know. I have spent more money at other shops just getting diagnostic work done as I have at JPT having them fix the problem. The thing I like best about JPT is the people. Pat and Curt are just about the nicest guys you could care to meet. I can't count the times that they have given me advice on how to take care of things myself so I that wouldn't have to bring the car in. You know you have found a good mechanic when they ar busy all of the time and they never advertise.

They are hard to find, the office is messy, their sign is about the size of a business reply envelope and really backed up on work, but are the greatest mechanics I've ever used. They really care about cars and will do automotive counseling if you are wanting them to fix a car that they think you should dump.

They are absolutely wonderful. I have referred so many of my female friends there because they treat us equally and explain things so we can understand the problem. They are honest and very inexpensive in their charges. Only problem is that they are so busy that it takes about two weeks to get your car in. It is worth the wait, though.

Curt, Pat and the rest are the absolute best. They are usually booked out 10-14 days, but if we really need them in a pinch they always squeeze us in even if it means they stay late to get it done. We'd never go anywhere else!

I've been going to JPT for 15 years. My first time was when I needed a timing belt on my 1986 626. The dealer wanted $350, the service station wanted $250, JPT said $150. They did the work and I got a bill for $110. Why? Because it didn't take them as long as they thought it would! Very competent and honest. I'm such a fan that last week, after they worked on my 94 Roadmaster wagon, I paid the bill and was driving away, and at a stop light, I glanced at my bill and saw that they had missed the charge for the oil change. So I raced back to pay. Not because they would ever catch it, but because I want to be fair to the guys that treat me fair.

Amen to all the other positive reviews. These guys were courteous and competent. They showed me the old replaced part, even though I didn't ask. They came in way under their estimate. Friendly place!

I was on vacation in the Minneapolis area and let my daughter drive my 97 Tacoma. The radiator failed and the engine overheated to the point of death. So I was in the situation of having to choose a mechanic I had never heard of. My daughter asked a friend in the area to recommend a mechanic and they said JPT Services was the only place to go. I had left my truck at my daughter's house and borrowed a car to get home, so I told my daughter to have them come get the truck. In short, I got my truck back in much better running order than before. They called me at each step of the way to inform me of testing results, what repairs were needed and how much it would cost. They eventually replaced the motor and radiator. I thought the price was reasonable as my entire bill was about what a rebuilt engine would cost from a parts store. The plus is that the gas mileage has improved considerably and the truck runs like it did when it was new. They even told me about some problems unrelated to the engine that I might want to have checked out in the future. These guys are great. I wish I lived near Brooklyn Center so I could go there all the time. I might just plan visits to my daughter's' around truck repairs now.

I cannot recommed Curt and Pat strongly enough. They are the Click and Clack for Minneapolis--fair, competent, and honest. They don't replace parts that don't need to be replaced, and if they can't fix the problem there is no charge. That has been my experience, and I almost felt guilty not paying them for the time they put in on the problem. Your car needs JPT! (And no, I'm not related!)
