I dealt with George Koch. He's the owner. Has been for I believe he said 15+ years. I took my GMC Jimmy to two other small shops for a mysterious coolant leak. Neither could find the problem. I then broke down and took to the dealer (hate going to dealers). The local dealer (Golling mis-diagnosed (and charged for it) my Jimmy as having either a bad head or cracked combustion chamber. $1000+ to fix. I told some co-workers and they recomended I call Perry St. Auto. I took it in to them in the morning, explained the situation/symptoms. George took the time to explain to me what they would do to check and why it probably wasn't the head gasket as the dealer had said. I left it for them to look at. Later that day George called me and said they had determined the problem was the intake manifold gasket (~$500) and that they could fix it but because it was 7 hrs. labor they'd need a full day to work on it. I left it with them for the next day and by 3:00p George called me said it was ready to pick-up. He also pointed out that one of my turn signals was out and asked if I wanted them to replace it. I already knew about it, but just hadn't got to it yet, but it was nice they caught it. I was very impressed with my experience and wouldn't hesitate to go back for any other work my Jimmy needs. I also grabbed a few extra business cards to hand out to anyone of my friends if they have a problem with they're car. Fast, accurate service, reasonable labor rates ($60/hr.), shuttle service, and they take the time to explain to you what is wrong and point out other things you may not have noticed. What more could you want?!! They a little tough to find. They're right up the street from Perry and Jocelyn intersection.

PSAS has given my three older vehicles the same respectful attention I imagine they'd give a clean late model, have replaced a Caprice engine and trans, solved wiring mysteries, done front end accident repairs, and done routing maintenance with attention to the customer priorities and budget constraints. Thanks.

I chose this shop because of the reviews here on Car Talk. They were fixing a DIY repair job that was getting out of my hands. They were very helpful with the job, although they did make one mistake. However, they also took care of fixing the mistake at no cost to myself. George (apparently the owner) was a pleasure to work with - and he offered to talk me out of/into further jobs before I get too deep next time!
