Denny and his crew will find and solve any car problems I have in spite of me trying to impress them with my knowledge of cars and leading them down a diagnostic blind alley!

Frank's Service was owned by Frank Sheets, who spent over 30 years in the same location in Alma, MI. Amondo Garcia joined Frank about 10 years ago. Now Frank has retired, Amondo runs the place and they have moved just east of the GTE building (the old building was turned into a quickie mart - bad idea). The service is still great; Amondo has kept my car running for almost ten years. I only wish he and Dave could relocate the business in the city to which I have moved.

This shop is always busy because they do great work for a very reasonable price. They are easy to deal with and do not fix stuff that doesn't need to be fixed. Because they are so busy, they can't always get jobs done immediately, but I would rather wait a day or two knowing that my car will be fixed right than get a half-way job done immediately. They work late, so picking up my cars after work is usually not a problem. These guys are not the Tappet Brothers, but they come damn close.

Time to update some reviews on this site about Shamrock Auto. Don't take my word for it, check out all the reviews on Birdseye.com, where they have a 2.8 overall rating. Several of the users have the same issue I experienced. Avoid this place! One of the older guys reminds me of ArchIe Bunker from All in The Family...he is extremely unprofessional and rude! They are happy to take your car in, but they will tell you they will call when it is finished; when they do not call you in the course of a full day, they make you feel bad for calling for a status of the repair! Usually, the comment is "he has not looked at it yet, but he will call you as soon as he is done...OK?. So, for those of you who do not need your car for several days, and do not mind not knowing when it will be finished...this place may be for you. Also, customer service is NOT their strength at all! Especially with Archie...I think his name is bob. bob is an old grumpy man that pains him to be genuinely nice to people. For those of you who have had good experiences with their service, I believe you either have not seen their true colors yet, or do not know any better. Needless to say, I will never go back to this place again! Personally, I do not think they even should get one star.
