Have been going for several decades. Best mechanic ever.

I found Steve many years ago when I asked another very reputable (only does foreign cars tho') mechanic who he would recommend for my GM vehicle. He told me he would take his car to a young man who had just gone out on his own, Steve Steeb. I can't even remember how long ago that was, but my plan is to stop driving or die before Steve (and now his son-in-law, Tim)closes the doors. He listens to your concerns, and understands about that sound that disappears when the car gets near a mechanic. When there is a recurring, difficult to solve problem, he works with you until the issue is resolved. The only reason to hesitate about recommending Steve and Tim to others is that getting a routine appointment can take a wee bit longer than it used to because everyone who discovers them love them and keeps coming back when a need arises. Now when I have a road trip planned, I need to really plan ahead to get my car checked out! OK--I admit it -- I am very biased. Steve and Tim make it almost a pleasure to deal with car problems.

I agree with the other comments listed -- Steve and Tim are honest, competent, reasonably priced and treat customers with respect. Not too much in the way of "ambiance", unless you count the partially-assembled race cars sitting in the shop, but you can count on them to give you the straight story. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Steve is a gem of a mechanic. He's honest, knowledgeable, skilled. I've been having him do almost all my work since 1985. (Most other repairs have been done by shops or mechanics he has recommended.) There are many positive comments I could make, but I don't have time at the moment. But to be noted is that his "assistant" Tim Soule seems equally as

They will say things like "This is what is happening. We could do this, that and/ or the other. But if this were my car I would do this now and see how it goes. Also we could get this part for $x or we could get the cool part with the warrenty for $x+y. What do you think?"

I have never received anything but excellent service from them. The only drawbacks are: - They only service American cars. When I bought a new car, I had to restrict my choices, just so I could stick with a mechanic I knew and trusted. - They usually have about a 1 week waiting list.
