They are willing and able to tackle interesting problems you may have and to work to satisfy your interests. They freely admit mistakes and willingly make things right. I have the highest regard for them.

Own an older (1991) Honda Accord in great shape. Brought car in for an inspection and asked about constant revving that engine was doing when idling, without human instigation. Owner of garage out at time but informed he was an expert on Hondas and would likely know cause given all his experience; upon return and his assessment, was advised that it was a problem that would cost several hundred to fix due to O2 sensor or EACV valve or some such. Due to money being tight, did some independent research and found out that this is a common problem with Hondas that occurs when the coolant level is low. After topping off the coolant, the problem ceased and has not returned since -- it has been well over a year and there have been no problems with coolant or related system. So, for a couple of bucks, I, a mere woman, solved our problem for a whole helluva lot less than this "expert" mechanic. I did learn that he has just invested in a very costly upgrade to his shop that he needed to pay for -- hmmmmm, coincidence?

The owner rolls out the red carpet for customers with more money than car smarts. It took me a while to realize his tendency to find the most expensive solution to any given problem. Given the number of older cars my large family requires work on I couldn't believe he would jeopardize such a good customer.

After reading these reviews I was hesitant to use this mechanic. I'm glad I did anyway. I went in looking for nothing but a quick inspection of a vehicle before I bought it and his opinion as a Volvo master mechanic. He gave me an honest opinion and now I've avoided a huge money pit of a vehicle. He did not try and sell me any other vehicles or try to convince me in any way to make repairs on said vehicle. A lesser person would have tried to up sell more services or a vehicle of his own.
