Been taking our Volvos and Mercedes there for years. Claude, the owner and mechanic is brilliant and has fixed many problems that couldn't be diadnosed by the dealers! Don't take your out-of-warranty Volvos or Mercedes anywhere else!

I would have sold my 1991 300E MB (195K original miles) years ago if I hadn't found Autohaus (by word of mouth). Repairs are much less expensive than at an MB dealer and they only fix what needs to be fixed. The MB dealer always seemed to find multiple things to fix when I took my car for routine service. When something is broken, Autohas gives choices for the types of repairs that can be made for different prices. Almost all service has been completed in one day - the dealer frequently had to keep my car overnight. Autohaus has been in business for over 20 years. It's is a three person operation: Claude (owner, chief mechanic), Carol (his wife who handles the paperwork), and an assistant mechanic (sorry, don't know his name). Both mechanics are factory trained. They give friendly personalized service and advice. Because it's a small operation and they have a loyal customer base, routine maintenance needs to be scheduled about 10 work days in advance. But, they've been very accommodating when I've had a problem that needed immediate attention. I recommend Autohaus without hesitation.

I recently moved to PA and I think my car cried. The service Claude and Co. have given my '89 190E 2.6 is unmatched. Honest to a fault and fairly priced. The person who referred me said "I don't know how someone that honest stays in business." After seeing my first invoice, I would have to agree. Autohaus is hands down the best option in MD. for Mercedes repairs (MUCH better results than EuroMotorcar in Bethesda).

I was referred to Claude by a close friend of his, and I have never regretted it. He is honest to a fault. I used to get frustrated with him because he would omit some part of a service, and his response was always, "But I checked it, and it didn't need replacing. It's as good as new, and it wouldn't be right to do it if you don't need it." He will also always call you and explain all your options and the estimated cost of each. He never upsells. And the work will be done right the first time, you can take that to the bank. Claude would die before he would let something half-ass out of his shop.

The car is always fixed on the day it is scheduled-and fixed correctly. They take the time to explain & the price is very reasonable. Sometimes an appointment is not available same day but almost always the same week.Cannot say enough good things.
