Rodney and Butch are the only two honest mechanics I have ever dealt with. Example- my last Honda had 260,000 miles on it and still had the same clutch. I keep going back when I had the car serviced and said it needs a new clutch now right??? They could easily have said right... They said it not slipping and were not going to replace it...The clutch would not work once and I took it in and said see it need a new one. They checked it out and replaced the servo pusher valves and it worked perfectly. 260,000 on my last car and it still worked great. So besides you two - Tom and Ray - they are great.

This garage specializes in foreogn gasoline powered cars. I have been using them for 30 years. They do very reliable work.

Something of a community institution with a loyal customer base and word-of-mouth marketing. Very friendly and customer oriented. They keep overhead to a minimum: there's no advertising budget and don't expect crumpets in the waiting room (as a matter of fact, don't expect a waiting room.) They work to keep customer cost down: if a third party or junkyard part will do the job, they'll suggest it. For over thirty years, I've found them very competent and absolutely trustworthy.

Rodney and the mechanics at Fred's helped us keep our 1996 Ford Escort Wagon going for 3 years after we should have probably traded it in. We went in and were concerned how much it would cost to keep her going and most fixes were under $100. The car finally hit the end of the road this summer and Rodney helped us find a mechanic who wanted the car to put in a new engine. Anytime we call they look at us that day, they have always been fair with their charges (patched my tire for free), and are a great asset to our community. Use Fred's Garage and you will see what I am talking about.
