Autobahn of Towson (on York Rd/Stevens Lane) is a good shop for Volvo, BMW, Saab. They have reasonable labor/prices. They also have let me bring in parts which I bought mailorder (from IPD) and installed them for me. (Timing belt, seals, waterpump) (But call first, and I think they like to charge a little extra for that.) (they may object if you bring in cheap parts from Salvo or something) My wife brought her BMW 320 to them for service for many years and they were very helpful, competent and reasonably priced. I think the two mechanics are Marcello and Dave. I'm planning to use them again for service on my 1983 Volvo 240.

very good at german and swedish cars (well at least volvos). They are very honest and hard working. When I had my front end rods seize up a national chain tried to charge me over $1K to replace them all. At Autobahn it cost $85 for some elbow grease and work with an acetylene torch and hammer to get them working as good as new.
