I took two Saturns there with blown engines, both mine and my wife's (moral of the story: there's a reason Saturn's are so much cheaper than Japanese cars!). Although in neither case did I actually have the engine replaced there, Rick was honest and understanding about the whole thing. The first car we decided to have someone do it at a junkyard, because the price was so much better. Rick said he didn't blame us ("can't compete with some guy basically working out of his garage"), and charged me next to nothing for the time spent looking into my engine and storing the car at his shop for several days. The second time we decided the car was not worth fixing, and again he charged nothing for storing the car while we made our decision. We had many other smaller repairs done there while we were living in Worcester, and they were always timely, honest, and competent. The prices are comparable to other small shops, but for me the piece of mind of knowing the guy takes pride in his work - and is not some drone working for a huge corporation that he has little stake in - is often worth paying a little more. Not always, like with the engine thing, but often.

You become part of the Family, Rick the owner his son Derick and their right hand man Kevin along with their staff treat you as if you were their brother or sister. Prices are fair and work is done as expected or they call you. I have no worries when I send my wife or daughter in they listen to their concerns about their car issues and make sure all is resolved so the car is safe to drive. If needed they will give you a ride home. If you want cheap not the place but if you want your car repaired as asked by people who care this is the place to go. I have had my cars worked on all over the country and this place is tops.

I was in Worcester for just a few of days and wanted to get my daughter's engine light diagnosed. On the advice of local relatives, I called Ramstrom's and explained the situation. They said that they could handle it, so we set up an appointment and we dropped the car off the next day. When we picked it up at the end of the day, they told us that they couldn't analyze the problem because they didn't have the proper diagnostic tool. They had several opportunities to give us that information and chose not to. I had to leave town the next Monday, so the engine light is still on.
