Nothing unusual here: Just a great mechanic who's looked after my cars through the last 12 years (even when I am not in a position to use him as my mechanic since I've moved): (1981 VW Rbbit - Deisel :), 1990 Acura Integra, and my latest - a '95 Maxima), while being supremely honest and good at what he does. (Okay it is a bit unusual.) In any case, as I am not half as competent as my father is at fixing these things, it's just good to have a great mechanic who has integrity and basic good will. That's it.

LOTS OF HELP TO THIS SENIOR CITIZEN TRYING TO GET EVERY BIT OF MILEAGE OUT OF MY 1990 SAAB (AND PREVIOUS SAABS) THAT IS POSSIBLE - CHRIS CARROLL HAS BEEN VERY GENEROUS AND, I FEEL, HONEST AND STRAIGHTFORWARD WITH ME.

They have provided excellent service on multiple cars for us for more then 10 years.

This is a small shop owned by a great guy (most of my family with foreign cars use his services) who always tries his best to do the job economically (and thoroughly). He has several times suggested that I put off repairs until he can find a used part for the job (which is very helpful with a 97 VW Jetta) and has always called when the parts are available. I'm not sure of the specifics of his mechanics (certification, etc.) but my car runs better now than when it was new!

I concur with the reviewers ratings and descriptions of this shop. Over the past 12 years, I've lived in 3 states and have used many different shops. European Auto is by far the best shop I have ever encountered. The owner is accessible, extremely knowledgeable, and very nice!! He and his staff have always demonstrated outstanding technical expertise and do not hesitate to go that extra 'mile' to help. Many times, I've called with a problem and have been instructed to stop by for an immediate assessment. The only issue is finding a spot on their very busy schedule. This shop gets an A+ on all counts!

Excellent competence, service, and integrity. Rates and overall charges have always been a very good value. All 3 mechanics are excellent at checking for the problem and not only the symptom. I wouldn't take a foreign auto anywhere else. About the public transportation item in the survey: there isn't any public transport in Northboro and they don't have loaners or rentals, as far as I know.

We've used Chris for 20 years now and have sent many friends to him. When it's time to replace a car, we only buy foreign because we wouldn't even consider going to anybody else to repair our vehicles. Several years ago with a Nissan Quest, he was unable to determine the cause of an engine light sign, and refused to accept payment for the time he spent hunting for the reason. He had me drop it off another day and finally found and fixed it and only charged for a couple of hours of work. My husband jokes that we can never move out of the area because we'll never find anyone else as honest as they are at European Cars!

They are always willing to track down used parts for a cheaper repair. And understand when you can't afford to fix everything all at once. They are the most honest mechanics I have ever come across.

Chris worked on my cars for years. Excellent place. Helpful. Knows what he's doing. Honest. I've moved to California. Good mechanic here, but Chris is the best !
